"It's a women's world, he just has to live in it"

Hello Readers!

I’m going to keep this week’s post short and sweet.

My show of choice for the week is ABC’s Last Man Standing. The show follows Mike Baxter (Tim Allen), who works at an outdoor sporting goods store, and his family, all of whom happen to be women.

The show started in 2011 and is currently in its fourth season. Some of you might not even know Tim Allen was on TV again, which is probably due to the show’s weird time slot – 7:00 PM on Fridays.

Now that you know what time it’s on, I definitely recommend that you watch it. For those of you who were fans of Home Improvement, well it’s pretty much the same premise only except for there being three sons there’s now three daughters.

The show has a funny take on American politics, as Mike is a firm Republican while his neighbour and his oldest daughter’s fiancĂ© are not. For promotions for the store he works at, Mike produces a vlog where he often comments on the hot topics of the day.

Overall, I think this is one of best sit-coms on TV right now. If you’re looking for a laugh, tune in to Last Man Standing!

"It's alright 'cus I'm saved by the bell"

Hello readers!

This week I’m taking us back to the 90’s (yes, again) because one of my guilty pleasure shows has been receiving a lot of attention recently.

Last week, on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon reunited most of the cast of Saved By the Bell, and it got me thinking where in the world are those Bayside teenagers today?

Mark-Paul Gosselaar: aka Zack Morris - a classic teenage heartthrob, but I mean how could you not like him? Mark-Paul’s all grown up now, and no longer a blonde, with two kids. He stars in Franklin and Bash as attorney Peter Bash.

Tiffani-Amber Thiessen: aka Kelly Kapowski, the most popular girl at Bayside who we all knew would end up back on-again with Zack. Today, she has a daughter with husband Brady Smith and stars as Elizabeth Burke in White Collar.

Elizabeth Berkley: aka Jessie Spano - a feminist smart girl who was known to get ‘so excited’ (inside joke – you’ll have to watch the show to know what it means). Elizabeth is married to Greg Lauren and runs a non-profit for young girls called Ask Elizabeth.

Lark Voorhies: aka Lisa Turtle who was always very in to fashion and very much not in to Screech (although that didn’t stop him from trying!). Her biggest role since Saved by the Bell was in How High, which came out in 2001. She’s married with one child.

Dustin Diamond: aka Samuel ‘Screech’ Powers the adorable little nerd. In 2006, he directed and released his own sex tape, and in 2009, released a tell-all book about his Saved by the Bell costars. Last year, he was arrested for pulling out a knife in a bar fight.

Mario Lopez: aka A.C. Slater – the high school jock with a big heart. If you weren’t Team Zack in the 90’s, you were probably Team Slater. Today, Mario co-hosts Extra and has 2 kids with his wife Courtney Mazza.

And of course we can’t forget Dennis Haskins who played Principal Richard Belding. He had his dorky tendencies and always loved to laugh at his own jokes. In 2009, Dennis released his first music album called "Karaoke With Your Favorite Principal Dennis."

Anyways, for all of you fans (and secret fans) out there, here is the reunion from The Tonight Show. Hope you enjoy it, or at the very least, I hope it brings you a smile!

"Bazinga"

Hello Readers!

Ok guys, I’m not always proud of this since the show’s kind of getting worn out these days, but because it used to be one of my favourite shows for a long time this week I’m going to talk about The Big Bang Theory.

This show started out centered around a group of nerdy guys who try to interact with the beautiful girl who moves in across the hall. As the years have gone by, the characters have gotten girlfriends even wives showing they’re not the awkward creepy guys they used to be.

I have to say despite starting out with such a simple story line, this show has really proved it’s worth. Eight seasons in and they’re still raking in tonnes of viewers week after week. It’s one of the top ranked shows in the world actually, which makes me feel a little better about liking it.

This season I’ve seen the biggest change in dynamics on the show. Maybe it’s because it’s time for the characters to grow up. Maybe the viewers were getting tired of the storylines becoming a bit repetitive (I am). I don’t really know what’s the reason, but all of a sudden Penny has a real job.

No longer attempting to become an actress, Penny has entered the world of pharmaceutical representatives. She’s a much more serious and focused Penny that we haven’t seen much of before this season. I like the change, but I’m worried that with a more intellectual Penny we’re going to start seeing a less intellectual Amy and Bernadette. I’m not entirely sure this is how it will play out, but so far it sort of seems to be the case.

Besides that though, the show keeps bringing some solid episodes to Thursday night TV. Not every episode, but most.

Let me know your Big Bang Theory thoughts!
